Editorial Publication Ethics
Editorial Publication Ethics
The scientific journal Industrial Transport of Kazakhstan adheres to strict ethical principles established by international organizations, including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and maintains high standards of scientific and editorial processes. The journal defines norms and guidelines to ensure transparency, integrity, and fairness in the publication of materials.
Editorial Responsibilities
The editorial board is responsible for making decisions regarding the publication of submitted manuscripts. Evaluation of materials is based solely on their scientific value and intellectual contribution. The editorial team reserves the right to reject works that violate legal requirements, including defamation, copyright infringement, or plagiarism.
Confidentiality of submitted materials is maintained until official publication. Publication decisions are based on reviews from qualified experts. When necessary, the editor may consult with members of the editorial board.
Confidentiality
Editorial staff and reviewers are obliged to keep all information in the manuscript confidential, except in cases necessary for interaction with the author, reviewers, editorial advisors, or the publisher. Unpublished data and ideas must not be used in personal research without the author’s written consent.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers provide advisory support to the editor in making informed publication decisions and assist authors in improving their manuscripts. All materials submitted for review are treated as confidential and must not be shared or discussed with unauthorized individuals.
Reviewers are responsible for identifying previously published works not cited by the author and ensuring proper attribution for any claims regarding prior observations, discoveries, or arguments. Reviewers must also inform the editorial office of any substantial similarity or partial overlap between the manuscript under review and other known publications.
Information and ideas obtained during the review process must remain strictly confidential and must not be used for personal or professional gain. Reviewers must refrain from evaluating manuscripts if a real or potential conflict of interest exists, including competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors, companies, or organizations involved in the publication.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must adhere to international standards of scientific integrity. Submitted materials must be original, previously unpublished, and not submitted to other outlets. Data falsification or result manipulation is prohibited.
All results should be presented clearly, and methods described in accordance with disciplinary standards. Author information and order must be accurate. Any changes in authorship require written explanation and approval by the editorial office.
Use of others’ ideas, texts, or data must be properly cited. Redundant or duplicate publications are prohibited as they undermine the credibility of research findings.
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, personal, or institutional, that may affect the interpretation of data. Funding sources must be specified, and the role of sponsors clearly described.
Violations of ethical standards may be reported to the editorial office or publisher at any time. All allegations are considered objectively, with the author given the opportunity to respond. In cases of serious misconduct, the editorial office may conduct an investigation jointly with the editorial board.
Final Measures
Depending on the nature of the violation, the following actions may be taken:
– Informing the author or reviewer of non-compliance with standards;
– Issuing a written warning about unacceptable conduct;
– Notifying responsible authorities or funding organizations;
– Retracting the publication with notification to indexing services and readers;
– Imposing a temporary embargo on the author’s publications;
– Reporting the case to scientific authorities for further investigation.
The ethical standards of Industrial Transport of Kazakhstan ensure transparency, fairness, and high quality of published materials, reinforcing trust within the scientific community.
